Who we are.

TreeSource Solutions strongly believes in maintaining the highest standards of ethics when dealing with our customers and partners.

We’re managed by energy and forestry experts who understand the needs, opportunities, and challenges associated with biomass use. We conduct all forest residue procurement activities under the direction of professional foresters to ensure that sustainable forest management practices are implemented and maintained throughout harvesting and transportation activities.

Our director, Jack Santamour, CF, provides leadership for the development of woody biomass chip supply from loggers, landowners, tree services, municipalities and willow plantations throughout New York State. He also represents TreeSource Solutions in professional organizations such as the Empire State Forest Products Association (ESFPA) and the North East Loggers Association.

Jack’s significant career spans more than 20 years of professional forestry, wood procurement and management, and much more for companies such as Lassiter Properties in Potsdam, NY and Champion International Corporation and Deferiet Paper in Deferiet, New York. He is a graduate of State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF).

We maintain strategically important relationships in New York with woody biomass suppliers, landowner groups, industrial trade associations, environmental groups, and state and federal agencies that are key to the successful implementation and growth of biomass initiatives.

TreeSource Solutions has developed, submitted, and received New York State Public Service Commission approval for our Forest Management Plan under the New York State Renewable Portfolio Standard, which requires the highest level of environmental stewardship for biomass procurement.
